The school play was yesterday night and tonight. It was called Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen. I'm in show choir, and we did a sort of opening act. We sang Christmas songs, and I had a solo, and I was freaking out because yesterday morning I woke up with a sore throat and a cough, but through a combination of hot tea, saltwater, Orajel, and cough drops I cured it...at least for tonight.

I got to stay and watch the play for free, though. And I thought it was gonna be stupid, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was really funny. It was about a guy named Roger Goodman who overheard his fiancee talking to her friend about wanting to marry a pirate, so he went out and tried to become one, and he gets stuck on an island with his idiot crew in search for treasure, and he meets a retired pirate who lives in a treehouse, and there's a giant bamboo cannon and a guy who thinks he's a parrot involved, and it was just so amusing to see my classmates dressed up like pirates. They had some pretty epic costumes.

And they did pretty good acting-wise, too. Michael Pell played an old pirate named Long Johns who had a really deep raspy voice and walked around with a limp, and he deserves a Grammy or something. He did an amazing job. Austin Prescott was pretty good too. I didn't recognize him at first though, cause he used some paint stuff to turn his beard black temporarily, and I thought they just got some random guy off the streets to play him. XD
